The Whisper Garden is a thriller set during Mardi Gras in pre-Katrina New Orleans.
The Whisper Garden is a tale of voodoo, rock and roll, self directed psychic experiences, and grisly murder. On one level it is a simple thriller, on another it is an exploration of how seemingly unrelated events connect. It is a fast paced novel, written in a very visual style.
Excerpts-- Music... Murder... Voodoo
A note from the author-- I am nowhere near naive enough to believe my friends when they tell me that my writing is wonderful; it's not that I think they would lie to me, but I know that knowing me might distort their perceptions. The knowledge that my nephew read The Whisper Garden in one sitting fills me with warmth, but it doesn't convince me that the novel is marketable. What does convince me of the viabilty of the novel, however, is the fact that when a draft copy was inadvertantly left at a local music store, the employees ended up fighting over who would get to read the chapters first.
